With what has been acknowledged as a depressed housing market internationally it really is just the time to be buying if it’s a holiday home you’re after or a retirement move to sunny Spain.
Whilst it’s fair to say that the exchange rate hasn’t exactly helped it seems clear that those serious vendors, having taken this into account, are bringing their prices down by substantial amounts to make their homes more attractive – certainly in the resale market.
Of course you could sit back and wait a bit longer to see if the offers become even more attractive but then, as with any market, things get to a low point where vendors simply draw the line and will wait rather than reduce further.
In the past you would have expected to pay 350,000 euros for a villa with pool in this area of the Costa Blanca but now you’ll have success at 250,000 which is about £190,000.
So…… book that cheap flight and get over here a.s.a.p.
